Worker receives compensation after hand crushed in machine

The personal injury team at Thompsons NI has secured more than £20,000 for the employee of a major food production company whose hand became trapped in the machinery he was operating.

He was working on the production machine, but there was no safety barrier installed, causing his hand to become trapped and crushed in the machinery whilst it was in operation. A safety barrier should have been present, preventing the worker's injury.
